Maesai Grace Church
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for Maesai Grace Church (MGC).
Aren't people incredible? It is our privilege at Tearfund to hear about amazing people all over the world making a difference to their communities. And the people MGC work with are no exception! Read all about how the church are helping Ai Tao regain some of his childhood, together with the latest news from MGC.
Would you like to do something incredible too? Why not take Tearfund's Mean Bean Challenge and raise money for the work of Tearfund? Eating only rice and beans for five days might sound like a big sacrifice, but it could also make a big difference.
Whether or not you take the challenge, please do continue to pray for MGC and for the people of Thailand and Myanmar. Your love and support means so much to them.
Many blessings from,
Catherine, Bobbie, Derek, Fiona, Nathaniel, Alice and Carina
Tearfund's Churches Team
I have recently had conversation with our contact at Tear Fund regarding the support of the above Church as part for our Mission giving at St. Andrew’s and have to inform you that this has now come to an end. Tear Fund feel that the Church and its work amongst the Burmese Migrant families is in a good situation now and so they would like to turn their support connection to another more needy area. Our support over the years has been very much appreciated and helpful to these families and they pass on their grateful thanks to us all. So at the last PCC meeting (9th March) I made this matter known in order that we can think about the way forward, and, after prayerful consideration, come to a decision. We ask that together, we may know the direction that God wants us to go and to know His will for our giving. Derham Cook
Sending love and greetings from Thailand. We are so thankful for your prayers and financial support. Our work here amongst migrants from Myanmar is enriched so much by your friendship. May God bless you and keep you, and bring you joy.
Our work over the last few months
Much of our time over the last few months has been dedicated to working with people across the border in Myanmar who have been affected by the floods which hit in June. It has been a really hard time as we have so seen many families in such desperate situations. We have been providing emergency food and shelter kits to people in need. Please pray for all affected.
