Spring Into Life

Spring Into Life works with children and young people in local schools and gives all the teams involved opportunities to share how Jesus has changed their lives. It began in 2004 and has occurred as a one week programme annually since then with preparations for 2016 well under way. The work in secondary schools is headed up by Mark Greenwood from The Forty Three Trust and John Froud from Zephaniah Trust, ably supported by a team of musicians and artists. They take assemblies and lessons and spend time in breaks getting to know the young people and answering questions.

In the primary schools the work starts with a drama presentation performed by an outside company. Three local teams then do a follow up assembly and lessons with years 5 and 6. It is always a busy but very rewarding experience for the teams. We get to work closely with small groups of children and are always amazed at their knowledge and their challenging questions. We know that sometimes we have inspired children to find out more about Jesus and we are grateful to the schools for welcoming us so warmly.
